Yes for Success was proud to partner with the Victoria University Rainbow Law Society to support their members in launching their careers with confidence.

Last week we hosted a tailored session focused on dressing for the legal profession while staying true to personal identity. With summer internships approaching, many students are stepping into office environments for the first time and wondering—what should I wear? Together we explored exactly that, offering guidance on how to dress for a range of professional settings: job interviews, everyday office work, client meetings, and even court appearances.

A key focus was how to integrate gender expression into traditional corporate dress codes. From tips on dressing androgynously to creating a strong masculine or feminine silhouette, we looked at ways to balance professionalism with authenticity—because feeling good in what you wear builds the confidence needed to thrive.

The session concluded with a tour of our Wellington Hub, where students were excited to see the breadth of donated clothing available for clients as well as our fashion-filled shop.

We’re deeply grateful to the Rainbow Law Society for collaborating on this first event, and we look forward to growing the partnership to include our wider services. A special thank you to our stylist, Irene, whose expertise and warmth made a lasting impression.
